Dr. Alan Christianson

Small Doses

Dr. Christianson’s lifelong interest in the healing power of nature was sparked as a child in rural Minnesota. After struggling with health challenges including epilepsy and obesity, he realized early on that his diet had a profound effect on his health. His fascination with plants, science and their correlation to healing, and his insatiable quest for knowledge, continues to provide inspiration. He completed his premedical studies and studied nursing at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, N.D. He was a member of the first graduating class of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Christianson specializes in endocrinology (specifically thyroid disorders) and pain management.

Dr. Christianson, a 2011 Phoenix Magazine Top Doc recipient and co-author of ‘The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Thyroid Disease’, founded Integrative Health in 1997. He resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his wife Kirin, their two children and his 6 unicycles.
